new window with required tempered glass. J reused the old closet rod and made it into the stair hand rail. 
Congratulations on the finished projects! I bet things around the house are going great now. Anyway, I like how the window placement turned out; it gives a very bright and light atmosphere to the stairway. Also, J's idea on using the old closet rod as the stair handle rail looks great! Cheers!
